The defensive end will appear at a meet and greet Friday, July 3 from 1 to 3 p.m., at Alsip Nursery in Frankfort.

Alsip to the Rescue Adoption Center, located within Alsip Nursery in Frankfort, has officially been designated a 501c3 nonprofit, and they’re celebrating with a visit from a champion football player.
New Lenox native and NFL star Rob Ninkovich of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will sign autographs and take photos for a $40 Meet & Greet on July 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the store, 20601 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort. All proceeds will go toward the adoption center. Tickets can be purchased in advance, online.
“It means everything to us to get support like this,” said rescue board member Rich Christakes. “Without this kind of fundraising, we wouldn’t be able to keep doing what we are doing.

“Rob is a huge animal lover and he wants to do whatever he can to help. The rescue will use the proceeds towards medical and transportation costs for the animals. As a nonprofit, we rely on donations and are also looking for volunteers, especially at our Frankfort location.
“We are truly grateful that Rob is taking the time to do this as we know he is only in town for a short time visiting family before he has to go back to training camp in New England.”
