Old Plank Trail Community Bank Named Moraine Valley Community College's 2014 Philanthropy Award Winner

Old Plank Trail Community Bank was recently selected as the winner of the 2014 Philanthropy Award by Moraine Valley Community College.

Old Plank Trail Community Bank was recently selected as the winner of the 2014 Philanthropy Award by Moraine Valley Community College. The bank was awarded the recognition for its dedication to reinvesting in the communities it serves. Old Plank Trail Community Bank provides financial literacy outreach and its employees volunteer with local organizations such as PLOWS Council on Aging, Crisis Center for South Suburbia and P.A.D.S. The bank also makes monetary and material donations and sponsors local events and organizations.

“We are honored to be selected for this award,” said Old Plank Trail Community Bank Chairman and CEO Paul Slade. “As a Wintrust Community Bank, our philanthropic commitment is part of our foundation. It’s just nice to be recognized for our efforts.”

Moraine Valley Community College’s Corporate Community and Continuing Education subdivision accepts nominations each year in various categories such as Training and Development, Sustainability, Excellence in Government, Philanthropy, Entrepreneur/Small Business Person of the Year, and Innovation for its 2014 Business Champion Awards.

Old Plank Trail Community Bank will be officially presented the award at the 19th Annual Business Champion Awards Banquet on Thursday, November 6 at the Moraine Business and Conference Center.
