• Metra shares details on South Side, south suburban service increase (chronicleillinois.com) — Metra is planning to boost Rock Island District service as far west as the Mokena area, aiming for trains at least every 30 minutes between Chicago and Tinley Park/Mokena in a future phase. The multi-step plan also includes schedule changes, new battery-powered trains, and better real-time information signs at key stations across the region.
