Platform At Hickory Creek Metra Station To Close For 6 Weeks

MOKENA, IL - The east end of the inbound platform at the Hickory Creek Metra station in Mokena will be closed for six weeks beginning on Monday, July 30. Regular users of the station are urged to allow extra time as more congestion is expected at the platform on the west end of the station.

The inbound platform will be replaced by Metra during this time, according to a Commuter e-News alert from the village of Mokena. During the six weeks, the station track side door will be closed, as will the two pedestrian crossings, ramps, and stairs located on the east side of the station. Also, all designated handicapped parking on the east side will be unavailable.
