Prescription Drug Take-Back Day At Mokena Police Station Saturday

Turn in unused or unwanted prescription drugs during a DEA event at the Mokena police station.

MOKENA, IL - The Mokena police station accepts expired, unused or otherwise unwanted prescription drugs at its lobby all the time, but this Saturday the Mokena Police Department will partner with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration on an event to collect a bulk of what could be dangerous medications laying around.

Anyone can participate, no questions asked, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Mokena Police Department, 10907 Front St. Those who drop off the medications can retain anonymity and no registration is required.

Simply remove pills, capsules, and tablets from their containers and place them in zip-lock baggies. Multiple prescriptions may be placed in one baggie. Blister-packed medications will be accepted in their original packaging, but no liquids, needles or syringes will be accepted.
