Pro-Life Tour Plans Mokena Stop

The Pro-Life Action League will have volunteers holding large signs with photos of abortion victims at busy intersections on Thursday.

MOKENA, IL -- Images of abortion victims will be displayed on large signs at busy intersections in the south suburbs on Thursday, which will be the fifth day of the Pro-Life Action League's "The Face the Truth Tour" campaign called "They Were Our Brothers and Sisters." The pro-life group's tour began Friday as a way to bring to light the "hidden victims of abortion," according to organizers.

The tour is scheduled to visit busy intersections in Orland Park, Mokena and Crestwood on Thursday, July 13. It will be the fifth of a seven-day tour that began Friday in Joliet and Shorewood.

During the tour, volunteers hold signs featuring "carefully selected images of abortion victims, with captions designed to evoke sympathy from passerby."

"While [drivers] may find the pictures disturbing as they pass by, we see no evidence that any real harm is done," the Pro-Life Action League has said on its website. "In fact, a child who sees the truth about abortion may be spared grave harm later in life by avoiding any involvement with abortion."

The group's "Truth Tour" ends on July 15, with stops throughout the suburbs city of Chicago and suburbs planned.
