St. Mary Catholic School Grows To 500 Students In Mokena
For the first time in its history, St. Mary Catholic School in Mokena has more than 500 students.

MOKENA, IL — For the first time in the school's history, St. Mary Catholic School in Mokena has more than 500 students.
“I think what sets St. Mary School apart is the administration’s leadership and welcoming community," Frank Murray, a St. Mary School board member, said in a release.
The school said Beth Cunningham, St. Mary School’s principal, was also a recent recipient of the Bishop Kaffer Outstanding Principal Award.

“As a new parent, events such as the ‘Back to School Skate’ is a great way to meet new and
current parents at an event where our kids can spend time skating and riding scooters with their
new classmates” Kate Wade, new school parent of preschool student, Charlie, said in a release.
The school said it also offers state-funded, financial based scholarships through the Invest in Kids Act passed by Illinois legislature in 2018.
