Summit Hill Junior High Is Ready For School
Your kids might be letting out a collective "sigh," but the school is ready and waiting to welcome them back!

School is almost back in session! The communities of Tinley Park, Frankfort, and Mokena are coming together to get their children ready for the first day of school.
Summit Hill Junior High School hosted their annual Schedule Pick-Up Day on August 14. Students had the opportunity to tour the school and find their classes. Students spent time organizing and decorating their lockers for the start of another productive year.
Eighth grader Henry Coad said, “I can’t wait to go back to school. I am so excited!”

Parents received information about school pictures, yearbooks, hot lunch days, and spirit wear.
“It’s great to see our students smiling and excited about starting another school year. Families came together today to show support and encouragement of education in our community. Starting the school year off in a positive manner such as this will help our students succeed even more,” said Principal Pam Hodgson.

The Bridge Teen Center in Tinley Park was available to discuss their facility and the free tutoring and other free programs they have to offer. The Lincoln Way Youth Strings offered additional opportunities for students in the community.
