Volunteer Work Day Held At Hickory Creek Junction

The volunteer work day will be held Sunday, Feb. 17 from 8 a.m. to noon.

MOKENA, IL — Head outside this weekend and help clean-up the Hickory Creek Junction in the Hickory Creek Preserve. The volunteer work day will be held Sunday, Feb. 17 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers will be able to contribute to the community, support the local environment and meet fellow nature-lovers, the preserve said.

According to the forest preserve, you should dress for outdoor work and weather. You should wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and work gloves. Work will take place on uneven terrain.
