Volunteers Needed for Flag Line for Street Dedication

A portion of Townline Road will be dedicated in honor of Aaron Toppen Saturday, August 30.

Volunteers are needed for a flag line preceding the dedication of a road in honor of Mokena’s fallen Aaron Toppen.

The villages of Mokena and Frankfort will dedicate a portion of Townline Road in memory of Toppen, who was killed by friendly fire in Afghanistan June 9.

Anyone interested in participating should gather at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 30, at the southeast corner of Townline Road and Sarkis Drive. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.
