• WIU engineering students complete hands-on problem-solving in senior project (ourquadcities.com) — Western Illinois University–Quad Cities engineering seniors, including one from Moline, have wrapped up year-long capstone projects focused on autonomous vehicle technology. Teams tackled real-world design, programming and testing challenges, building both technical skills and teamwork as they prepared to graduate and enter engineering careers around the region and beyond.
   

• Andrew Jones of Moline, Illinois, Inducted into Central College's National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Chapter (rcreader.com) — A Central College student from Moline, Andrew Jones, has been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success, highlighting local talent earning recognition in Iowa. The honor places him among 33 students celebrated for leadership and academic commitment at the private college in Pella.
   

• Arsenal to add jobs, but lawmakers on high alert after ‘chaos' in previous cuts (kwqc.com) — Rock Island Arsenal, a major Quad-Cities employer for many Moline residents, is expected to add more than 100 Army jobs after months of concern over recent cuts. Sen. Tammy Duckworth pressed Army leaders about rushed layoff decisions, winning assurances that future personnel changes will come with more notice and transparency as the Pentagon seeks additional funding from Congress.
