Police are searching for a missing 14-year-old boy from Oswego.
Mom Renee Jones posted on Facebook Sunday, saying her son, Justin, has been missing for more than 24 hours.
Oswego Police Capt. Jeff Burgner said Justin Jones was reported missing from his home on Saturday afternoon. Police believe the boy ran away and could still be in the area.
“Justin is approximately 5’10,” 135 pounds, with blond hair,” police said. “He was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and a green backpack, in the downtown Oswego area, around Hudson Crossing Park and again at Marcley’s. He is also reported to be in the company of one shorter male with a light brown complexion and a female who was unable to be described physically.”
He said police do not suspect foul play in the teen’s disappearance.
“It’s a runaway situation and we’re working with the family to track him down,” Burgner said.
Anyone who has information on Justin’s location should contact Oswego police at (630) 551-7300.
