16-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck By Car, Injured: Police

Montgomery teenager suffered head injuries in Wednesday morning accident.

A 16-year-old boy from Montgomery was airlifted to a Chicago-area hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Wednesday morning.

Police said the teen was struck at around 7:30 a.m. at the four-way stop at South Union Street and Parker Avenue near East Aurora High School, the Beacon-News reported.

A 17-year-old Aurora girl reportedly hit the bicyclist after driving through a stop sign. She was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a stop sign, according to the Beacon.
