DuKane ABATE 28th Annual Toy and Food Run

Help a Child in Need! Join Us at the DuKane ABATE 28th Annual Toy & Food Run Oct 12th!

Sunday October 12, 2014 at the Batavia Overseas Post VFW on Route 25, Batavia Illinois, the DuKane Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois will be holding their 28TH ANNIVERSARY TOY & FOOD RUN.  This yearly event collects unwrapped new toys and non-perishable food for the Kendall/DeKalb/DuPage/Kane County area food banks, shelters, foster homes and social service agencies.  Agencies such as Mutual Ground, St. Vincent’s Food Pantry, Fox Valley Veterans Foundation,  Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry, Elburn Food Pantry, Hesed House, Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center – Elgin, IL Dept of Children and Family Shelter Services, and MORE are among the many charitable organizations DuKane ABATE helps

Started 28 years ago as a thank you to the chapter members, DuKane has seen this event soar into attendance of the thousands!  In past years attendance has been up to 5, 000 motorcyclists gathered for this worthy event. To date approximately 2.5 million worth of toys and food have been donated to the area’s most needy. 

 This year the event will start at 9:00am with multiple registration sites such as Wildfire Harley Davidson, Heritage Harley Davidson, American Heritage Motorcycles, So Elgin, Fox Valley Cycles, DeKalb Harley Davidson, Mark’s Second Street and Knuckleheads/Elburn proceeding to Knuckleheads in Elburn, Illinois then to downtown Batavia on a parade route celebrating this magnificent day of giving.

Santa Claus will be leading this parade as well as having the Statewide congressmen, senators and district representatives to speak at the event. At the end point there will be vendors such as Playground Tattoo, Victory Leathers, Pinstripers, Jewelry and more!  A bike show, door prizes, GREAT FOOD, refreshments will also be planned.  Entertainment sponsored by Fox River Harley Davidson, Law Tigers and American Heritage Motorcycles-Indian featuring We Ain’t Right Band, Ashes to Ruin, Diver Down and NATIONAL RECORDING ARTISTS  SHANYTOWN!

Please join us for the 28th Anniversary of the Toy and Food Run.  Lineup starts at various registration sites.  Call for your local registration area.  Bring an unwrapped, new toy and non-perishable food item. Cost is $10 per person.
