Montgomery West Siders Plan Lakeshore Litter Pickup

Resident volunteers will be cleaning up litter around the water basin shorelines of Foxmoor and Fairfield Way subdivisions on Saturday, April 7th beginning at 9:30 am. Volunteers will gather at the fishing pier on Foxmoor Lake along Simpson Road and then break into teams.

All Montgomery residents are invited. Gloves, litter bags and bottled drinking water will be provided. The event should last about 90 minutes.

Everyone in and around Montgomery is invited to assist and join in the litter pickup according to event organizer, Stan Bond, a Village of Montgomery Trustee. Bond makes a special note of asking for help from those who fish these waters and those concerned about protecting shoreline wildlife and the environment. Families are welcome, Bond adds, this is a child friendly event.

The Foxmoor and Fairfield Way lakes are adjacent to Gordon Road, just north of Route 30. For more information, call Stan Bond at 630 440-1007 or email stan@stanbond.com
