Aurora Firefighter Accused of Punching Female Bartender in the Face
Off-duty firefighter faces battery charge in Dec. 22 incident.

An off-duty Aurora firefighter was charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a female bartender in the face, police said.
Daniel Ahasic is accused of punching the woman after she told him to put out his cigar, the Aurora Beacon-News reported.
The victim, a bartender at Stoney’s in the 1000 block of Ridgeway Avenue in unincorporated Kane County, was taken to an Aurora hospital with facial injuries, according to the paper.

Deputies reportedly did not know Ahasic was a firefighter until after his arrest.
Bar patrons and employees who came to the bartender’s aid allegedly hit Ahasic, who came away from the incident with a black eye. The employees and patrons will not be charged, according to the paper.
