Ramirez and Reyna were allegedly drinking and ingesting cocaine from the late night hours of Sept. 18 into the early morning hours of Sept. 19 inside Ramirez’s apartment. Charging documents indicate that Ramirez was allegedly in possession of a loaded .22 caliber revolver and said he had shown Reyna how to use the gun before it went off. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the 7:12 a.m. shooting which they believe may be accidental.

Reyna suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest, was transported to an Aurora hospital by Aurora Fire Department Paramedics and pronounced dead at 7:56 a.m.
