Hello everyone! My name is Captain and I am looking for a family to adopt. I was born 4/21/13 and I weigh about 50lbs. I am a stunning and very sweet boy…if I do say so myself!
I was abandoned at a kill shelter in Hardeman County Tennessee. I really don’t understand why I was dropped at the shelter and I just want find a home where my people are there for me the same way I am loyal to them!!
One day while I was there, some people came from Illinois to help fix up the shelter and because I am very social, I greeted them right away by putting my paws around them and giving them a big hug! They loved it!
They tell me I am Gentle Giant, whatever that means! But I know by the way people say it that it’s a good thing. I don’t go potty in the house (that’s only for puppies!), and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kids of all ages and sizes! I also really enjoy the water and swimming…so if you want to be my new family, you have to appreciate the smell of wet dog! I also get along with most dogs. There are many other dogs in my foster home and I like all of them…except one…but hey, I bet you know someone you don’t like much too!
I’m also really smart, in fact I’m so smart that passed extensive training at Woof Beach in Batavia with flying colors! I’m even off leash trained, pretty amazing right? The trainers at Woof Beach are really nice and they told me that I come with a training guarantee that extends to the family I choose to adopt me and continues throughout my WHOLE life!
So, yeah…I’m pretty good catch!

Standard adoption fee is $295 and includes his neuter, immunizations/shots up to the point of adoption, fecal, deworming, frontline, 1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, micro-chipping and 30 days of shelter care insurance.
