Every week we have to turn away hundreds of requests to accept dogs into our adoption program, simply because our foster homes are full! These dogs and puppies are NOT SAFE and are AT RISK!
Safe Haven Dog Rescue is in desperate need of foster homes! We do not have a shelter or physical location and rely upon the generosity of families that open their homes to provide a temporary Safe Haven. Fostering is a challenging but rewarding experience. And if you decide that you just can’t part with your foster dog, we offer our foster families first option to adopt if you determine the dog or puppy is a perfect match for your home.
We provide all vetting, crate, food, toys, leash and collar for the foster dog or puppy. You provide love, socialization, and start the dog or puppy on basic training. An adoption coordinator is always available to discuss any challenges that you are facing. We want a successful experience for you and the dog in your care.

We also require that you have the ability to take your foster to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
We can only save as many dogs as we have foster homes for, and right now the shelters are overflowing! These pictures are just a few of the dogs and puppies we have been asked to save!
