Gunshots Reported From Several Cars On Douglas Rd.: Montgomery PD

Police said according to witnesses, shots were fired from several cars.

MONTGOMERY, IL — The Montgomery Police Department is looking for information after several shots were fired Thursday evening, Oct. 4 in the 1200 block of Douglas Road. Police said they were called to the scene at 6:24 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found several firearm casings in the road when they arrived.

Police said according to witnesses, several vehicles were closely following each other before those at the scene heard gunshots.

The vehicles were gone once officers arrived, but police said they were described as one light-colored minivan, one dark-colored minivan, two dark-colored sedans, and one light-colored sedan.

There was no report of injuries or property damage, police said.
