Kaneland Harter Middle School Has Their Annual McTeacher's Night

McTeacher's nights are organized to raise money for the local schools

Kaneland Harter Middle School held their annual McTeacher's Night on Wednesday, May 23rd, at the Sugar Grove McDonald's on Route 47. The Sugar Grove McDonald's was taken over by teachers excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for Kaneland Harter Middle School. The students and families were excited to see their teachers behind the counter and throughout the restaurant.

The teachers worked many different jobs during this event; Teachers helped take orders, work the drive-thru window, handed out orders, helped cleaned the lobby and sold many delicious hot apple pies.

During this event, Kaneland Harter Middle School Principal Brian Faulkner dressed in a pie costume the entire evening while Katie and Keara Richardson, and Becky Andersen escorted him with a tray of Hot Apple Pies to sell. All proceeds from the pie sales go to the school. McDonald’s Owner/Operators, The Schmitt Family, donated all pies that were sold during this event. Also, a special performance by Mid-Knight Special entertained teachers, staff and families.

A special thank you goes to Jen Moorehouse who organized the event. Kaneland Harter Middle School teachers worked hard while having a wonderful time and the families enjoyed a memorable evening. Kaneland Harter Middle School plans to use the money for their outdoor classrooms and murals.
