Kendall County Blotter: Brawling Sisters, Child Neglect Allegations

Someone pried open the front door to a home in the 700 block of Bohannon Circle in Oswego, damaging the door frame, and tampered with a window screen, according to police. The unknown subject did not gain entry to the home, and nothing was stolen, according to a police report.

Oswego police are investigating a report of theft in which more than $3,000 was taken from a victim’s checking account, according to a police report.

Sisters Rhiannon Burleson, 31, of the 600 block of Montrose, Romeoville, and Tiffany Katz, 30, of the 0-100 block of Sheldon Lane, Geneva, were arrested and charged with domestic battery after Kendall County Sheriff’s police responded to Route 126 and Line Road at around 2:30 a.m., police said. The sisters allegedly got into a “heated argument which turned physical” while in the vehicle, police said. Other occupants of the vehicle called 911, and the driver pulled over at Line Road and Route 126 in Na-Au-Say Township, according to police. The women were taken into custody without incident, police said.

Kendall County Sheriff’s police are investigating an alleged incident of child neglect on Central Drive in Yorkville in which two children were found to be without supervision for an “unreasonable amount of time,” police said.

Angelica Alvarado, 37, of the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue, Aurora, was arrested by Oswego police at Kohl’s, 2500 Route 34, and charged with retail theft, police said.

Robert Lee Beasley, 41, of the 100 block of Circle Drive West, Montgomery, was arrested by Kendall County Sheriff’s police in the 0-100 block of Boulder Hill Pass and charged with speeding after a deputy clocked him driving 70 mph in a 30 mph zone, according to police.

Kendall County Sheriff’s police are investigating an incident of alleged child neglect in the 0-100 block of Circle Drive West, unincorporated Montgomery, in which a 15-year-old juvenile was not wanted at home by her legal guardian and was brought in to the sheriff’s office. The Department of Children and Family Services was brought in to assist, police.
