Kendall County Blotter: Guns Stolen During Family Barbecue; Thief Steals From Horse Barn

Someone stole therapeutic horse treatment oils worth an estimated $500 from Harmony Hills Equestrian Center, 3350 Stewart Rd. in Oswego, Kendall County Sheriff’s police said.

Sonia Kowalski, 26, of the 2300 block of Titus Drive, was charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to secure a child under age 8 in a child restraint seat following a traffic stop at Route 34 and West Street in unincorporated Oswego, police said. She was also cited for driving an uninsured vehicle, according to a a police report.

A resident reported that a backpack containing a .45 caliber pistol and a .9 mm pistol, along with approximately 30 rounds of .45 ammunition, were stolen from his family’s farm in the 8400 block of Immanuel Road in Yorkville during a barbecue, Kendall County Sheriff’s police said. Police said there are currently no suspects.

Deputies investigating a report of a suspicious vehicle near 2500 Light Road, unincorported Oswego, arrested Jayci Salinas, 19, of the 800 block of New York Street, Aurora, on charges of possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Rosalio Valezquez, 40, of the 0-100 block of Cherry Drive was arrested and charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, Kendall County Sheriff’s polcie said.
