Kendall County Blotter: Scammer Tries to Dupe Woman with Arrest Warrant Scam

Two boys, ages 13 and 12, were arrested at Oswego School District’s Opportunity School & G.O.A.L. Program, 61 Franklin St., on charges of disorderly conduct, police said.

A Yorkville woman told Kendall County Sheriff’s police that a man claiming to be a police officer called her and told her that there was a warrant out for her arrest. The caller told the 53-year-old woman that she needed to meet with him and bring him money. Kendall County Sheriff’s police are investigating the incident.
