Kendall Sheriff's Blotter: Stolen Trailer, Ill-Gotten iPhone

Incidents reported by Kendall County Sheriff's police.

Sept. 24

A victim in the 9000 block of Caton Farm Road in unincorporated Yorkville said that sometime over the past month, someone stole a 25-foot trailer form his property. The theft is under investigation by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Department, police said.

A resident of the 0-100 block of Oak Creek in unincorporated Oswego told Kendall County Sheriff’s police and someone opened an account using his information for Comcast Cable and purchased an iPhone 6. The victim was able to close the account and was not charged for the transaction, police said. Comcast is doing a followup investigation through its fraud department and was advised to report the incident to police and to Sprint, according to sheriff’s police.

Sept. 27

A resident of the 0-100 block of Guilford Road, unincorporated Montgomery, told sheriff’s police that while reviewing his bank statements, he discovered a fraudulent charge made from a debit card. The victim stated that he has never been to the store where the charge was made. The incident is under investigation, police said.

Sept. 28

Someone burglarized a home in the 1500 block of Light Road in unincorporated Oswego and stole electronic items, and jewelry, police said.
