Man Charged With Battery After Throwing Beer Bottle: MPD
July 3 through July 4 Montgomery Police Department crime reports.

Criminal damage to property
Montgomery police reported Jordan Mckinney, 29, of the 2200 Blk. Gallant Fox Cir., Montgomery, was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct after police received reports that he got into an altercation with a family member at 12:23 p.m., July 3. Claims made against Mckinney include he damaged a cell phone and a window and in the process alarmed and disturbed that family member. He was booked and processed at Montgomery Police Department and released with a pending court date at the Kendall County Courthouse.

Wednesday, July 4
Domestic battery
Steffon W. Buie, 20, of the 400 block of Hinman Street, Aurora, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer after police responded to a business in the 800 block of Montgomery Road just before 11 p.m., July 4. Police said it was determined that Steffon threw a beer bottle at a family member, causing minor injury. While he was being taken into custody, he resisted police. Steffon was transported to MPD where he was booked and process. He was transported to Kane County for bond call.

Traffic arrest
Antoni A. Salgado, 37, of the 900 block of Symphony Drive, Aurora, was arrested for fleeing and eluding traffic after police stopped him when his car was going well under the speed limit. When police tried to come into contact with Salgado, he sped off but was caught a short distance later. This happened near Route 30 and Briarcliff Road, around 1:45 a.m., July 4. Police reported Salgado is being charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Speeding, Driving without a Valid Driver's License and Impeding the Flow of Traffic. He was also driving an uninsured vehicle. Salgado was booked and processed at MPD and was released with a pending court date.
Failure to appear on a DUI case
Ernesto Nava-Martinez, 20, of the 200 block of Keck Avenue, Aurora, was arrested on outstanding warrant out of Aurora Police Department for failure to appear on a DUI case. Montgomery PD said contact was made with Ernesto while he was a passenger inside a vehicle that was stopped for no front registration at 5:23 p.m. in the 1300 block of Douglas Road He was unable to post the required bond and was released into the custody of the Aurora Police Department.
