Man Found Sleeping Behind the Wheel Had Small Child in the Car: Police

A Montgomery man found sleep behind the wheel at an intersection in unincorporated Montgomery was not only drunk, but also had a small child in the car with him, Kendall County Sheriff’s police allege.

Steven Cessna, 28, of the 0-20 block of Denham, was arrested at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday after a deputy responded to the intersection of Chatham and Marnel roads for a report of a person sleeping in his car with a young child in the rear seat, police said.

The investigation revealed that the small child was Cessna’s, according to a police report.

Cessna was arrested and charged with DUI and endangering the life of a child, police said.
