Missing Oswego East Student Found in Maryland: Cops

A 16-year-old Oswego East student who was reported missing on Friday has been found, Oswego police said Tuesday.
Maria Torres Martinez, a resident of Aurora, was found at around 2:40 p.m. in Morningside, Maryland, according to police.

Police said the girl was last seen at OEHS at around 11 a.m. Friday. After speaking with the teen’s family, police said they had reason to believe she was headed to Baltimore, Maryland.
Martinez was in the custody of the Morningside Police Department on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

“This recovery effort was a collaborative investigation with the Oswego Police Department, Morningside Police Department and the Baltimore Police Department,” Oswego police said.
