Montgomery 5K and 10K River Run
Montgomery 5K and 10K River Run is set for Sat., Oct. 1st!
Location, Date and Time
The 2016 Montgomery 5K and 10K River Run will be Oct. 1, 2016. It will begin at Montgomery Village Hall, 200 N. River St. in Montgomery, IL. The race will start at 9 a.m. Montgomery is located in the beautiful Fox Valley, an hour's drive west of Chicago. Out-of-town runners and spectators will take I-290 and I-88 West or I-88 East to reach the Village. Race pre-registration packet pick-up and day-of-race registration will be held at the Montgomery Village Hall, 200 N. River St., Montgomery, IL, and begins at 7:30 a.m. the day of the race.
About This Event
The 13th Annual Montgomery 5k and 10k River Run is a family friendly event that features a flat, fast running course along both sides of the beautiful Fox River. Participants who register before August 31st are guaranteed to receive a long-sleeve dri-fit shirt and goody bag!
5K and 10K Run
The 5K and 10K Run is a USA Track & Field certified course. Certification Codes for each: IL-06047JW and IL-13137-JW. The course runs up and down both sides of the scenic Fox River. Splits will be given every mile and there will be a water station and first aid on the course. There will be an overhead digital clock at finish. Computerized race results will be provided by Race Time. Pets, kids and strollers are all welcome to walk the 5K course as well.

Awards
Awards will be given to the first two male and female finishers in each of these age categories: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & Over. The overall male and female winners will receive awards.

Goody Bags
Participants who register before August 31st are guaranteed to receive a long-sleeve dri-fit shirt and goody bag! All participants will be able to enjoy refreshments after the event.
Proceeds from the River Run
The proceeds will be donated to benefit the Montgomery VFW Post #7452 and the Montgomery Foundation.
