Montgomery Blotter: Cops Say Man Had Drugs, Needles in Car with 6-Year-Old
Arrests, incidents reported by Montgomery police.

Feb. 18
Ladon Silas, 46, of the 2300 block of Majestic Prince, was arrested at Dickson and Conrad and charged with DUI, police said.

Alex Rodriguez, 29, of the 2900 block of Waters Edge Circle, Aurora, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of hypodermic syringes and child endangerment after police stopped his vehicle for improper lane use at Route 30 and Gordon, police said. When officers approached the vehicle, they detected a strong odor of burnt cannabis, according to police, who said a 6-year-old child was also in the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Candis Rivera of the same address, was also charged with child endangerment, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Mary Susan Handley, 19, of the 1100 block of Watson, Aurora, was arrested at Walmart, 2000 Orchard Road, on a charge of retail theft after allegedly concealing $117 worth of merchandise and leaving without paying, police said.
Feb. 22
Rene Ibarra, 21, of the 0-100 block of Webster Street, Aurora, was arrested on a DUI charge after police found his vehicle in a ditch on Route 31 near Caterpillar Drive, police said. Ibarra was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a pipe used to smoke cannabis inside his pants pocket, according to police.
