Naperville Resident Running for Congress
Herman White is running for the 11th congressional district.

Naperville resident and scientist Herman White is throwing his hat into the ring for representative of the 11th congressional district, saying that it’s time to get back to basics.
“I will work on reforms that help our government operate better, free up our economy to generate jobs and match our revenues to our expenses. The families, taxpayers and citizens of the 11th congressional district need great representation in Congress. I am that man” White said.
White, a scientist with the United States Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, said in a release there are four basic principles why he’s running.

“1) I believe we need better access to affordable healthcare. 2) We’ve got to stop the practice of our students graduating with higher debt and fewer job prospects. 3) I will stand against ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’ – passing a budget on time is our fundamental right and expectation of our government. 4) I believe we must match our revenues with our expenses. It’s time to stop overspending and overtaxing. Taxpayers are paying too much and getting too little,” White said.
As an education reformer, White is passionate about education of the next generation and its financial impact. He has volunteered on several STEM mentor programs during his over 40 years of research and is an advocate for stronger education to better equip our future leaders. As a 10-year board member of Edward Health Services Corporation and a member of the Quality Committee of that Board, access to quality healthcare is a vital component of White’s community leadership.
