Police Continue Search for Oswego East Student [UPDATE]

A 16-year-old Aurora girl remained missing on Sunday, two days after she was last seen at Oswego East High School, Oswego Police Capt. Jeff Burgner said.
Maria F. Torres Martinez was last seen at around 11 a.m. Friday at the school, 1525 Harvey Rd., and may have been headed to Baltimore, Maryland, police said.

The teen did not leave the campus through a main exit, so the exact time she left school is unknown, according to police. Maria had several bags with her when she left.
After speaking with the girl’s family, police said they believe she may be en route to Baltimore, Maryland.

The Oswego Police Department said it has notified other police agencies and communities through Critical Reach correspondence of the search for Maria.
Burgner said police are still working with the teen’s parents and are following up on leads.
