POLICE BLOTTER: Fake Tax Return, Speeding, Kicking Cup of Alcohol Out of Vehicle

A woman told Kendall County Sheriff’s police that someone filed a fake income tax return using her name.

Kendall County police nabbed a man for speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was arrested for driving on a suspended license during the traffic stop. James Fucciolo, 46, of Winfield was also cited for speeding.

Roman Oliver Anthony Stewart, 19, of Plainfield, was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for only having one operational headlight near Line and Caton Farm Roads. Police said the car smelled of cannabis. Stewart said he had cannabis. He was arrested and charged with possession of 10-30 grams of cannabis.

A Kendall County sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle traveling 73 mph in a 45 mph zone near Galena and Kennedy Roads around 1:33 a.m. The driver, identified as Lakisha L. Hartzog, 33, of the 0-50 block of Afton Drive, Montgomery, was charged with DUI after police said she failed field sobriety tests. She was also cited for illegal transportation of alcohol after she allegedly kicked a plastic cup containing alcohol out of the vehicle. She was transported and booked at the Kendall County Jail.
