Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect Until 11 p.m.
Winds as high as 60 mph expected this evening.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for much of northern Illinois, with storms heading northeast from from the Ottawa area toward Yorkville as of 5:30 p.m. The warning applies to Kendall, Will, DuPage, Kane and Cook counties and the city of Chicago. Winds as high as 60 mph and small hail are expected.
A house in Minooka was reportedly struck by lightning Saturday evening. Fire crews are on the scene at Wabasso Street and Mondamin Street as of 7 p.m.
A flash-flood warning is also in effect in Kendall County until 12:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
