• Big Boy, world's largest steam locomotive, makes short stop in Sterling (shawlocal.com) — Morrison train watchers may have seen Union Pacific’s massive Big Boy 4014 steam locomotive roar through town around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday on its way to a longer whistle stop in Sterling. Hundreds gathered near Sterling’s farmers market and new riverfront park to photograph the 1.2‑million‑pound engine, enjoy food trucks, and celebrate its coast‑to‑coast tour for America’s 250th birthday.
