• Driver charged after hit-and-run crash seriously injures pedestrian in Evanston (chicagotribune.com) — Morton Grove police helped track down and detain a 71-year-old Texas driver accused of fleeing after a serious pedestrian crash in nearby Evanston. The victim, struck in a marked crosswalk, is now in stable condition. Multiple departments, including Skokie and Evanston, coordinated to identify the vehicle, secure evidence, and bring felony hit-and-run charges.
