• Police: Texas man charged in hit-and-run (evanstonnow.com) — Police say a vehicle involved in a serious Evanston hit-and-run was ultimately traced to Morton Grove, where an off-duty Evanston officer spotted it and local police detained the driver. A 71-year-old Texas man now faces a felony charge, while the injured pedestrian is reported in stable condition and the case proceeds to court in Skokie.
