⢠Village Considers $1.6M Contract For Major Intersection Redesign (journal-topics.com) ā Mount Prospect is moving ahead with a $1.6 million engineering contract to kick off a major redesign of the RandāRoute 83āKensington intersection, aiming to ease chronic congestion and cut-through traffic. Backed mostly by state and federal funds, the 2027ā2028 project would add turn lanes, new signals, sidewalks, and a shared-use path to improve safety and traffic flow.

⢠Warehouse Plans Goes To Board Despite Resident Concerns (journal-topics.com) ā Mount Prospectās Planning and Zoning Commission has narrowly backed a 97,605-square-foot warehouse at 1600 Bishop Court, sending the controversial plan to the village board. Neighbors and commissioners raised concerns about truck traffic, safety, and the projectās speculative nature, while village staff argued it would revive a long-vacant office site in the Kensington Business Center.
