$1,000 Reward For Info On Naperville Theft

The thief rode a bike up to the unlocked car around 3:35 a.m., police say, before stealing around $300 and riding away.

NAPERVILLE, IL -- Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man who stole $300 from an unlocked vehicle on Auburn Avenue.

Around 3:35 a.m. on Friday, July 28, the unidentified male was captured on camera riding a bike up to the vehicle in the 1800 block of Auburn Avenue. He then went in the driver's side door and removed around $300 cash from the center console.

He fled, travelling eastbound on Auburn Avenue, according to a press release from the Naperville Police Department and Crime Stoppers.
