Lost Ducklings Rescued From Storm Drain In Naperville

It's the second big animal rescue in just a week!

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Just over a dozen ducklings were rescued after being found trapped inside a storm drain in Naperville. Animal control joined police as they rushed to the scene at the corner of 87th and Rte. 59, where the ducklings' frantic mother was in a state of panic.

Police say the mother duck kept circling the animal control officers as they removed the storm drain cover and went inside to complete their rescue mission. Her incessant quacking started to die down as the ducklings were delivered one by one from where they had been trapped.

Photos from Naperville police show all 13 ducklings parading behind the mama duck safe and sound away from the drain.
