2 Adults, Juvenile Charged In Naperville Verizon Store Robbery

Police say the suspects were involved in a brief chase that ended in Aurora.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two adults and a juvenile have been charged in connection with a robbery that took place Monday night at the Verizon store located at 2720-106 Showplace Dr.

Police say they were called to the Verizon store just before 7:30 p.m. for a report that "multiple electronics" had been stolen. Shortly after, police found the suspects' car and tried to stop it, but were unsuccessful, and a brief chase ensued. The car was eventually stopped by police in Aurora. According to police, most of the stolen goods were found near where the car was stopped.

The three defendants were taken into custody. A fourth suspect is still at large, but police say no suspect description is available.

A customer sustained minor injuries during the incident, but was treated and released at the Verizon store.

Estevon D. Vargas, 18, of the 600 block of Hartford Ave., Aurora, and Jaquarrie Garrett, 20, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, along with the juvenile, were charged with felony robbery.
