2 Stolen Cars, Guns, Drugs, Ammo Recovered In Naperville: Cops

Three men were taken into custody in connection with Thursday's incident.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An unoccupied car in Naperville that turned out to be stolen led police to recover guns, ammunition, drugs and another stolen car Thursday. Three men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Police say they found the car, which had been reported stolen in an armed carjacking in Chicago, in the 1400 block of Fairway Drive. After observing the vehicle, police saw three men get into the car.

Police approached the car and searched it, along with the three occupants. According to a news release, police found two handguns, ammunition and prescription medication in the search. Police later found that the other car in the parking lot had been stolen in another armed carjacking in Chicago.

Tommie J. Coleman, 18, of Hammond, Indiana, was charged with one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of illegal possession of ammunition.

Damien C. Plummer, 21, of Chicago, was charged with two counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Karl Erwin Brown, III, 20, of Hammond, Indiana, was charged with one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and one count of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
