NAPERVILLE, IL — The second of two men linked to a 2017 armed robbery of a Naperville Speedway has been sentenced. Robert Hill, 23, of Carol Stream was sentenced Friday to 16 years in prison in connection with the incident.

According to authorities, Hill was one of three men who came into the Speedway at 631 N. Route 59 wearing masks and gloves on Oct. 15, 2017. Hill's co-defendant, Willie Booker, 23, of Streamwood used a gun to threaten a gas station employee and steal his cellphone and contents of the cash register before locking the employee in the back room.

Booker was sentenced Thursday to 18 years in prison.

In a statement Friday, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, "Less than twenty-four hours after his co-defendant was sentenced to eighteen years behind bars, Mr. Hill learned that he will be going away for sixteen years for his role in this violent crime. Both of these men have certainly earned their sentences and Naperville is now a safer community with them off the streets."

Authorities say the third suspect in the armed robbery was never identified.
