3 Charged With DUI During Thanksgiving Crackdown In Naperville
Police issued more than 70 tickets during the 10-day crackdown.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Naperville police charged three people for driving under the influence and issued dozens of tickets during their annual Thanksgiving crackdown. The 10-day initiative, which is part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns, also resulted in two drug charges, according to police.
Police say a total of 75 tickets were issued for the following violations:
- 38 seat belt tickets
- 28 speeding tickets
- 6 driving without insurance tickets
- 3 driving with suspended/revoked license tickets
Naperville Police Sergeant Derek Zook reminded drivers that police will continue to enforce these regulations throughout the year. In a statement, Zook said, "Our officers are out year-round. If you or your passengers are caught not wearing a seat belt, you will be cited for the violation. If you drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you will be arrested."
