3 People, Pets Evacuated After Early Morning Fire In Naperville
A resident in the home called 911 at around 3:47 a.m., officials said.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville firefighters evacuated three residents and their pets were from a burning home early Friday morning. Naperville Fire Department Bureau Chief Thomas Moran said the home in the 800 block of Whispering Hills Drive was left uninhabitable by the fire.
A resident in the home called 911 to report the blaze at 3:47 a.m., Moran said in a news release. Firefighters were on the scene by 3:53 a.m. and saw no visible smoke or fire on the exterior. But when firefighters entered the home, they found light smoke and fire in the attic above a second-floor bathroom. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and confine it to the area of origin.
Officials said no one was hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and the home was deemed uninhabitable, Moran said. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the residents.
The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department,
Naperville Electric Department (NED) and Nicor Gas Company. The Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District and Downers Grove Fire Department provided coverage for Naperville fire stations during this incident.
