3 Years After Father's Naperville Murder, Answers Still Sought
Matthew Lange, 37, was waiting for his son to get out of Polish classes when he was shot to death in his car.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Monday marks three years since Matthew Lange, 37, was fatally shot in his car while he waited to pick up his 4-year-old son from Polish classes at Scullen Middle School in Naperville. Lange's 2017 death was the first murder in Naperville since 2014 and has remained the first unsolved murder in the city in decades.
Despite ongoing efforts by police and residents, Lange's killer has never been found.
Lange was a psychology professor at Lewis University at the time of his murder. He was in a 2013 silver Hyundai Elantra when he was gunned down. The DuPage County Coroner ruled that Lange died of multiple gunshot wounds.
