$300K Bail Set for Alleged Naperville Robber

The second man involved with the robbery is still at large.

A judge has set bail at $300,000 for a Chicago man accused of robbing a professional gambler Monday in Naperville, according to the Daily Herald.

Robert Chencinski, 45, of the 1900 block of Leavitt in Chicago, and another man who is currently on the run, allegedly stole a car and purposefully caused a traffic accident with the victim to get him out of his car. About $50,000 was stolen from the man.

After beating and robbing the victim, the men fled in a small, black stolen car before ditching it near the intersection of River and Thornapple roads when police attempted to stop them.

Both suspects tried to run away, but Chencinski was quickly caught hiding in a nearby backyard. The second man remains at large.

The second man is described as being white, tall, thin and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Police do not believe him to be armed as no weapon was displayed during the robbery, but they ask residents to be cautious and report any suspicious subjects.
