9 Stores Sold Tobacco Products To People Under 21: Naperville Cops

Nine stores were cited after a recent tobacco compliance check by the Naperville Police Department.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Nine Naperville stores were recently cited after police say they sold tobacco products to minors under the age of 21 during recent compliance checks.

Naperville police visited 73 businesses during the compliance checks, which were conducted Nov. 21 and Nov. 22. The following stores were cited:

  • CBD Vape Smoke, 4003 Plainfield-Naperville Rd.
  • BP Amoco, 4940 S. Rte. 59
  • Walgreens, 2719 Hassert Blvd.
  • Speedway, 3004 Reflection Dr.
  • Mobil Oil, 1290 S. Rte. 59
  • Smoke O Vapor, 686 S. Rte. 59
  • Delta Sonic, 1780 N. Aurora Rd.
  • Smokes N Vapes, 760 N. Rte. 59
  • Vape N Tobacco, 1224 W. Ogden Ave.

The Naperville Police Department uses funds from a grant via the Illinois Department of Human Services Tobacco Enforcement Program to help inform local retailers about the law prohibiting sales of tobacco products to shoppers under the age of 21.

In June, two Naperville stores were accused of selling nicotine products to underage shoppers.
