NAPERVILLE, IL — More than 150,000 lights will sparkle to the sounds of festive holiday tunes when NaperLights returns to Water Street in downtown Naperville Thanksgiving weekend. The beloved holiday tradition will also feature an illuminated Great Tree, live music from local groups, an interactive tree that responds to singing, clapping and other sounds.

This year marks the 9th annual installment of the NaperLights display, which brings with it new features in addition to the old favorites. Lights will dazzle on figures of ice skaters, penguins, polar bears and holiday presents. New features include ice skaters that will adorn Imburgia Fountain and a twinkling image of Santa on his sleigh hovering about the Marquette building.

Visitors can pick up 3-D glasses at the event to further enhance the experience.

Stroll over to Jaycess Park to snap a photo under the Great Tree or try out the interactive Honey Locust Tree. Santa Claus is also set to stop by the Great Tree at Jaycess Park on select Saturdays and Sundays to have socially distant visits with his fans.

Students from Naperville's Bach to Rock music school are set to perform live holiday tunes Dec. 17 and 18.
