NAPERVILLE, IL — Zaxbys, the popular chicken restaurant headquartered in Georgia, is set to expand its operations in the Chicago area, including a possible location in Naperville.
The business announced in June that it has a seven-unit development agreement for the Chicago area.
The announcement comes after Zaxbys opened its first Illinois restaurant in Plainfield in January.
The Daily Herald reported that Bolingbrook, Naperville and Woodridge are among the planned locations. The chain also reportedly submitted a request for a drive-thru restaurant in Joliet.
No details have been given on an exact location or opening in Naperville; more information is expected soon.
Zaxbys specializes in fried chicken, including chicken fingers — or as the chain calls them, Chicken Fingerz — as well as sandwiches and wings.
Patch reached out to Zaxbys for more information but has not yet received a response.
